During the Taichung Bike Week 2023, which was dominated by Asian suppliers, we as by,schulz team were again, as in the past, with our own booth and our Taiwanese representation directly on site. We presented from our product portfolio not only high-quality attachments and new developments, but also tools for assembly plants and workshop professionals. With a wide selection of high-quality seatposts, pedals, handlebars and stems, including a revised variant of the proven Speedlifter mechanism, we were again primarily targeting bicycle manufacturers in the upper price segment.
At our booth on the 10th floor of the Splendor Hotel, a sample of the new compact cargo bike “Moca” from Messingschlager was also on display, on which several components from by,schulz are installed. From the new Z.1 folding pedals to the Speedlifter Twist Pro, incl. stem with angle adjustment to theD.2 ST dropper post with suspension, the cooperation project showed a wide usage profile and the enormous advantages of the possibilities we offer.
We had also brought an e-Bikelifter BM-60 mounting stand to Taichung Bike Week. This was commented by our CEO Markus Schulz to the press as follows:
“We already had excess baggage anyway and found that it then also no longer matters. In addition, the assembly stand remains in Taiwan after the TBW. The BM-60 e-bike lifter makes a lot of sense for developer offices and workshops of assembly service providers, where prototypes and sample bikes in various frame sizes are set up for the purpose of exact assembly: It can be flexibly positioned thanks to battery power and also copes with heavy e-bikes without any problems.”
But that was not all: An industrial version of the punching tool for preparing fork stems for Speedlifter assembly was also on display at our booth. This tool, somewhat larger than a stately fist and weighing about 15 kilograms, is aimed at assembly plants where bicycles with the Speedlifter system are assembled every day. While it’s not intended for the trade, it helps manufacturers save time and precisely apply the required slot to the steerer tube, which is critical when assembling large quantities.
The Taichung Bike Week itself again showed us enormous interest in our products and developments despite current adversities in the market. We acknowledge the demand as positive feedback and continue to attach great importance to intensive and good partnerships, also in the Asian region, in order to make bicycles and e-bikes with innovative added value better and cyclists happier.
