Stem Alpha Pro SDS stem.

Designed for (e)-city / trekking bikers, this 1 ⅛” A-head stem is part of the new Alpha series, which sets accents with its own design language. The Alpha Pro is angle adjustable over a wide range from -10° to 50°, with the robust adjustment joint standing out. Ideal for individually adjusting the stem angle and handlebar height to relieve strain on the arms and neck. The play-free adjustment of the headset works without the usual A-head star nut. The integrated fixing ring allows the stem to be rotated 90° to the left and right to transport the bike in a space-saving manner without adversely affecting the headset adjustment. Thanks to its heavy-duty forged construction, the Alpha Pro is also suitable for cargobikes. The Alpha Pro allows hidden cable routing through the stem, as well as the installation of a navigation system or lamp via the SDS system.

  • A-Head steerer tube 1 1/8” made of metal (threadless) outer diameter 28.6 mm.
  • The use of the stem with a carbon steerer tube is expressly not recommended.

  • Free steerer tube protrusion must be at least 58 mm.
  • A maximum of 40 mm spacers / risers may be installed under the stem.
  • No A-head claw is required in the fork shaft.
  • The threadless steerer tube should be shortened to the correct size. When cutting it off, make sure that the steerer tube end still has an outer diameter of 28.6 mm and is cleanly deburred.
  • By placing suitable spacer rings (spacers / risers) underneath, the correct steerer tube protrusion can be achieved if necessary.
  • The brake and shift cables, as well as electrical cable connections to the handlebars, must be of sufficient length so that they are free of kinks during the angle adjustment and twist function and do not obstruct the steering under any circumstances.
  • Handlebars and stem must be compatible with each other and have the same clamping diameter of 31.8 mm or 35 mm. Carbon handlebars must not be fitted!
