The
SEP.2 Elastomer suspension seat post combines proven by,schulz parallelogram technology with modern shock absorber elements. This makes for an exceptional, more comfortable riding experience. Thanks to the precise parallelogram mechanism and the high-quality elastomer suspension elements, shocks are effectively absorbed, making it ideal for cross-country, cobblestone and gravel tracks.
With a compact height of just 99 mm and a spring travel of 27 mm, the SEP.2 is ideal for a wide variety of bicycle frames. The response can be selected from three spring hardness settings.
The elastomer damper element reliably absorbs shocks while riding without sacrificing precision and control. The high-quality workmanship with robust, forged aluminum and maintenance-free IGUS plain bearings ensures a particularly long service life. The SEP.2 also impresses with its dynamic response and modern design, which reflects functionality and aesthetics.
If the seat post diameter does not match the diameter of the bicycle frame, this can be easily compensated for with a by.schulz G. Shim reduction sleeve. Optionally, a special SEP.2 neoprene mud cover offers protection against dirt and environmental influences. It thus ensures unadulterated riding pleasure and a long service life for the mechanics.
Conclusion: The SEP.2 Parallelogramm-Federstütze by,schulz offers maximum comfort, flexible adjustment options, and sustainability thanks to premium quality—perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy their bike rides.

SEP.2 Seat post with elastomer, including operating instructions
The parallelogram-sprung SEP.2 elastomer seatpost was developed to offer you a high level of riding comfort. The elastomer damping element is progressively designed thanks to its patented shape, it reacts sensitively to light impacts and, with increasing damping, to hard impacts.
When compressing, the SEP.2 seatpost dips up to the rear and downwards.
Due to the design of the damper and the use of a highly resilient technical elastomer, even hard impacts, for example when riding through deep potholes, do not cause the damping in the parallogram system to break through.
Three elastomer damper elements with different, coordinated degrees of hardness are available for optimum adjustment of the SEP.2’s spring and damping comfort to the rider’s weight. These are easy to install and can be used in two different positions for fine tuning.
The table provides guidance on selecting the right shock absorber element, whereby the criteria of rider weight, riding position, and riding profile should be taken into account when making your decision.
Permissible rider weight =
Weight of the rider + additional weight (e.g., backpack).

Fine (gray): For lighter riders with low weight.
Medium (dark gray): For average riders with medium weight.
Strong (black): For heavier riders who need greater hardness.
Note: Please note that the damping behavior of elastomers is temperature-dependent. This means that the response behavior may change over the course of the year. The elastomer damper elements of the SEP.2 are suitable for temperatures ranging from -5 to +50°C.
