G.2 ST – Parallelogram Suspension Seatpost

The by,schulz G.2 ST parallelogram suspension seatpost scores with top responsiveness and riding comfort thanks to the proven parallelogram suspension mechanism. And all this with a height of only 100 mm and 30 mm suspension travel. For example, when city and trekking bikers roll over cobblestones or bumpy gravel.

The built-in steel spring is available in 5 different spring stiffnesses to compensate for the vibrations on tour without straining your back. Changing the spring on the G.2 ST is child’s play.

With the spring element adjusted to the rider’s weight, the suspension post works efficiently and offers reserves for larger impacts. The different spring rates allow the G.2 ST parallelogram suspension seatpost to be individually adjusted for a rider weight of 45 kg to 150 kg. The G.2 ST suspension seatpost also manages to look pretty darn good: Powerful, organically flowing lines set visual accents.

If the tube diameter of the seat post does not match the frame seat tube, the difference can be adjusted with a G.Shim reduction sleeve.

The Mudcover neoprene cover included in the scope of delivery protects against dirt and weather.

Thanks to its high-quality workmanship, the G.2 ST suspension seatpost is particularly durable and was the test winner in the Rad fahren magazine seatpost test.

Hinweis

  • For saddle racks with Ø 7mm, optionally available for Ø 8mm
  • Rider weight allowance: Please note the reduced rider weight allowance of 130kg for smaller diameters (e.g. 25.4×300 / 26.4×350 / 26.6×350 / 26.8×350 / 27.2x400mm)
  • Stop ring option: The 34.9x400mm version has the option of a pull-out stop ring. This only works in combination with the by,schulz reduction sleeve and the by,schulz clamp.

The parallelogram suspension seat post was developed to offer you maximum riding comfort, both in the city and on rough terrain. The suspension is designed to be progressive, i.e. the system reacts softly to light impacts and with increasing spring resistance to hard impacts.

When compression dives the G.2 ST parallelogram suspended seatpost up to ca.18mm to the rear and about 22mm down.

Thanks to the use of a heavy-duty flat steel spring and technical elastomers in the spring eye and on the inside of the arms, even hard impacts (e.g., when driving through deep potholes) do not cause the suspension to bottom out. In addition, the rearward spring movement is dampened by the hemispherical elastomers in the head and base sections. For optimal adjustment of the G.2 ST an das Fahrergewicht und die Fahrweise stehen leicht austauschbare Federelemente mit unterschiedlichen Federhärten und Dämpfern zur Verfügung.

  • Make sure that the inner diameter of the seat tube of the bicycle frame and the outer diameter of the G.2 ST or G.2 LT seat post have the same value.
  • Different dimensions can lead to failure of the clamp and to accidents and damage to property or personal injury.
  • The tube diameter of the seat post can be adapted to the size of the seat tube using a reducing sleeve. To adapt the seat post tube, we recommend the G.Shim double-slotted aluminum reducing sleeve from by,schulz. The following diameters and lengths are available:

  • If you use a reduction sleeve from another manufacturer, it should be made of aluminum and have a minimum length of 90 mm. Make sure that the reduction sleeve is always fully inserted into the seat tube.
  • Check that the width of the saddle frame is compatible with the head of the seat post. It must not be less than 36 mm on the inside. Some core leather saddles are too narrow at the front of the frame and therefore cannot be combined with the seat post. Such use is not possible and can cause permanent damage to the saddle and seat post.

  • Always use the right saddle clamp for the corresponding saddle frame. Saddle clamps for a saddle frame with Ø 7mm are fitted as standard. If necessary, saddle clamps with Ø 8mm can be fitted. Never combine Ø 8mm clamps with a saddle frame with Ø 7mm or vice versa. Note: Saddles with oval saddle rails must not be used.
