The special feature of the pedal system, which won the Red Dot Design Award 2021, is that the pedal and the sole plate are only “connected” to each other by a positive fit, resulting in a certain amount of freedom of movement for the shoe.

Cycling fast with clipless pedals and cycling shoes is a great experience. You can feel how efficiently the power is transferred from your body to the bike and propels you forward.

To release the connection, the shoe must be turned sideways on the pedal with classic clipless pedals. This needs to be practiced and does not always work in practice. If there is a sudden stop, the body often reacts instinctively and pulls on the pedal in panic in vain. This can lead to falls, even for experienced riders.

The cleats are suitable for all common road bike shoes with a 3-bolt connection. However, the pedal can also be ridden without cleats with standard road shoes.
